Bentley's Hackpack features 60 stages divided equally among three arcade machines: Alter Ego, Spark Runner and System Cracker. The first stages of each machine are immediately accessible, but all subsequent stages must be unlocked by earning tokens.

Each stage features five challenges. Clearing a challenge awards one token and adds 1000 points to the final score for the stage. Completing a stage, regardless of performance, earns the player at least one token. Bonus tokens and prizes, indicated on the stage selection screen by question marks, are awarded at specified token counts.

Two trophies in the game can be achieved by unlocking a certain number of arcade stages by collecting tokens. The bronze trophies Thievius Old-Schoolus and Auto Fire are unlocked by unlocking three arcade stages and twenty arcade stages (respectively) by collecting tokens.
