I know, but there's a problem with this: Penelope is the only one who knows how to build a time machine besides Bentley, and Penelope has also been around the Thevius Raccoonus a lot. Needless to say, we will most likely be seeing more of her in the future.
I don't think Penelope will have much relevance to future games. The postcards that some of us are considering as references to her involvement in the next game, i believe are just to give us some closure on her departure from the series. I thought it tied up the ending between the relationship with some ambiguity that lets us think what we like.
I think some of us are trying to force her involvement into Sly 5 while really its not necessary and would be out of place.
The next game will likely show the rise of clockwerk, and the ones who brought it forth. I doubt we will recognize any bosses, apart from perhaps the ancestors of a few of them.
