The fact that Kevin Miller is not voicing Sly is a huge blow to this film. I am glad that Matt Olsen and Chris Murphy (most likely) are reprising their roles as Bentley and Murray, though I don't see why not the entire trio.
Rainmaker Entertainment I had never heard of until the announcement of the Ratchet & Clank film. I am curious as to why this company would be the ones to develop the Sly Cooper film, as none of their previous works seem to have any relation to Sly Cooper, other than the fact that they are aimed toward children. That is not to say they're not qualified however, it's just curious that they got the green-light for this.
Regarding the character designs: In short, I like Sly's and Bentley's look, but not Murray's. I also love how they made Sly's cane actually look aged.
The announcement and trailer have definitely captured my interest, and with Sucker Punch working closely with the developers and producers, I am sure that this will turn out to be a great addition that stays true to the series.
(Still waiting for an animated series!)
