Not true. According to Kevin Miller, the voice of Sly, there was an Egypt level, but it got cut out to accommodate the space that Vita games can hold. Zako11 wrote:

we can include screenshots from the secret ending of sly 4, this pic below, and the various hints like when we asked about sly 5 and they said ask about it next year, the hint in the ign stream.
it never "got cut" it was never in there to begin with. just the secret ending
Not true, according to the voice of Sly Cooper, there was an Egypt level that got cut out so that the Vita and PS3 versions could have the same storyline because they wouldn't have been able to fit Egypt onto the Vita.
