Well, my point is that there are some pretty powerful countries nowadays with some pretty powerful weapons. It wouldn't be as easy to topple the UK today as it could have been back in the 18th and 19th centuries.

But yeah, the U.S. had tons of nukes in 2002-2005. The U.S. still does. In 2006, there were above 9,000, of which more than 5,000 were still operational.
