Species

I know that we can't say for certain the species of a majority of the guards in the games, but an assumed species is (personally) better than an odd name. So for this, what do we think? Basset hound guard? Basset hounds can be golden in color, so... -User:Tenbeat (talk ¤ contributions) 17:21, June 11, 2015 (UTC)

Honestly this doesn't look like a blood hound at all in my opinion. To me it looks like a bigger golden retriever but the only problem with that is that there is already another guard named that, but we could do he same thing we did for both of the mandrill guards and name this guard Golden Retriever Flashlight Guard. It may not look exactly like a bloodhound, but it looks even less like a golden retriever. Look at the ears of the golden retriever guard and then the ears of the bloodhound guard. They are totally different; the golden retriever's are wider and more triangular, whereas the bloodhound's are thinner and long. Also look at the snout, which is more pointed on the bloodhound, and flatter on the golden retriever, much like they are in real life. The only other major species of dog that I could see the bloodhound being is maybe a basset hound, but the coloration on those dogs is almost always white, dark brown and tan (unless it's a mix), hence the decision to call it bloodhound. -User:Tenbeat (talk ¤ contributions) 14:14, June 29, 2016 (UTC)

I guess you're right it doesn't look like a golden retriever, but what it looks even less like is a bloodhound. The bloodhound's face is floppy and it's nose does not stick out of it's face, while this guard's nose sticks out of it's face and does not have any extra flops of skin on it's face. In fact the only similarity between a bloodhound and this guard is their ears. In my opinion this does looks almost identical to a basset hound, a basset hound's nose sticks out of it's face, has no extra flops of skin in it's face, and it's ears are almost identical to this guard. I think this paged should be renamed to Basset Hound guard. EH28 (talk) 23:46, June 29, 2016 (UTC)

Renaming?

I have finally come to the point where I feel like the other basset hound guard in the series, the jailbird guard , should have its page renamed to "Basset hound guard". The jailbird guard is a stationary guard, and this guard is a flashlight guard, so I feel like this page should be renamed to "Basset hound flashlight guard".
