Fire slugs were creatures made of lava. Not much is known about these mysterious creatures, but seeing as they serve as Clockwerk's secondary security force in the Krakarov Volcano (the first being the robo-falcons), this implies that Clockwerk was their creator.

During the job "Burning Rubber," Murray had to smash 60 computers before the fire slugs. When Sly was trying to recover his cane, several fire slugs tried to attack him, but were shot by Carmelita.

Other appearances

Fire slugs also appear in the Thievius Raccoonus PC game. They act as enemies in The Cold Heart of Hate minigame and will attempt to destroy 30 computers before the player can do so.
