Squids, real name H.P. Squidcraft, are enemy guards employed by Raleigh to protect the Isle of Wrath from possible intruders. They serve as his flashlight guards and as his main security force guarding his ship. They are also the first flashlight guards encountered in the series.

Description

They are humanoid creatures with a squid head. They use their flashlights to spot possible intruders and will attack by spitting projectile goo that homes in on their target. With the Computer Hacking technique acquired, Sly Cooper's binocucom states that they love sushi, and the scientific name for their species is spitium ickium.

Trivia

• Their name references the early 20th century American writer, H.P. Lovecraft. They also bear a resemblance to Cthulhu, a cosmic entity of Lovecraft's stories that is recognized by its octopus-like head.
• They are the only type of guard in Tide of Terror that aren't walruses.
