"Operation: Jurassic Thievery" is a job for Bentley, Murray, Bob Cooper and Sly Cooper in "Clan of the Cave Raccoon" of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. It is the final job of the episode.

Objective

Infiltrate Grizz's fortress and put an end to his schemes.

Goals

  • Destroy the egg vats
  • Remove three valves
  • Defeat Grizz

Walkthrough

Part 1 (Sly)

After Bentley's Chalk-Talk brief, make your way to the entrance to Grizz's lair. Pickpocket the guard in your path, then dispatch him. Then head to the waypoint to trigger the cutscene. After this, control will go to Bentley.

Part 2 (Bentley)

As Bentley, your task here is to disable the egg vats. Make sure you time your jumping and hovering perfectly to avoid hitting the hot lava bubbles floating upwards, and falling into the deadly lava below. Subdue the guard ahead and use bombs to clear the debris blocking your path. The path is filled with objects, ripe for a breaking.

In the chamber with the large fan blades, the platform will rise up, which you can use to reach the egg lift on the other side. Ride up there and you'll encounter three guards in the area. You can easily take them out by placing bombs directly into their pockets (preferably Trigger Bombs), then quickly getting out of range of the explosion.

Upon reaching the gap, you will need to pull out Bentley's Explosive Darts and use them on the five moving targets ahead to disable the first egg vat. Once it's down, the bridge will open up and you can wheel on over to the next section. Defeat the guard and then head to the terminal to hack it. After the hack is complete, you will then need to head across a series of platforms that lower down into two alternating sets. Upon reaching the other side, use Bentley's Explosive Darts to destroy the second egg vat.

Part 3 (Bob)

Bob's task is to remove the two pressure valves on the main generator tower. Grab onto the wall and watch out for the flames and spikes that appear from the gaps. When you approach the first valve, press circle to grab it. Rotate the valve using left analog stick to remove it. Next, pound on the wall to knock the mushrooms out of the way. Still steer clear of the deadly flames and spikes! You must time your slides, pounds and jumps carefully to avoid damage or instant death. Once you reach the second valve, do the same thing as before and rotate it until it pops off. Then, make your way up to the final valve and remove it as well. After this, it's Sly's turn.

Part 4 (Sly)

Once in control of Sly, switch into the Sabertooth Costume and Cyclone Pounce the enemy near the lever. Hook swing onto the rings of the rotating lifts to navigate the area further. You will then come across a series of geysers and large swinging fireballs. Use the Paraglider and ride these geysers to the next area. Once there, take out the guard at the station.

Part 5 (Murray - boss fight)

Phase 1

After the lengthy cutscene, you will be in control of Murray. Here in this final part of the mission, you'll up against the Grizz. This boss fight takes place on an ice rink. This fight involves a series of processes you must follow. First of all, you will not be able to land a punch on him right away. For now, just wait and watch his moves and stay out of his way! Steer clear when does a belly flop and begins sliding his way over to you. The Grizz will also create shockwaves that fill cause icicles to fall to the ground. Take note of the indicators on the ground to avoid getting frozen. Another thing the bear does is create large blocks of ice and will hurl them towards you. Just make sure you're in between them to dodge them.

Grizz will then create huge shockwave that will send down a large wall of solid rocks that will surround him. Underneath some of the rock are fragile ice blocks that you can punch to send them hurling towards Grizz. At the same time, The Grizz will be creating shockwaves that will send icicles falling down, so take precautions. Avoid Grizz's attacks and punch the ice blocks quickly or he'll let out a loud roar that will collapse everything, and then you'll have to start the phase all over again. After this, a skating rhythm mini-game will begin. Follow the button prompts to perform the proper moves. When done properly, Murray will grab Grizz and toss him across the arena, making him vulnerable to attack. Lay Murray's fist into the bear until he gets back up.

Phase 2

After this, you must redo the entire process again, but this time, the Grizz will include new moves. Follow this process just like you did the first time. Also, when you begin the second rhythm match, you will need to take good note of the button prompts, as some of them will become question marks. You'll need to remember what the correct button is to avoid a wrong move and thus, restarting the process over again.

Phase 3

This time, the Grizz will become much faster and his moves become more frequent. Stick the previous strategies to successfully complete this process. When the rhythm sequence begins, you must take really good note of the button prompts, as they will all become question marks, and you must remember which is which. When successful, you'll then be able to lay the final punches on the Grizz and put an end to this heist once and for all!

Sly Mask locations

  1. This mask is at the bottom of the wall where the second valve is located. Slide all the way down and make your way to the right; it will be on the platform below.
  2. This one is found on a platform just beyond the third swinging fireball during the paragliding sequence.
