The Raging Inferno Flop is a purchasable power-up for Murray in Sly 2: Band of Thieves, Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. It is a powered-up version of the Thunder Flop, a technique solely invented by Murray himself.

Description

Like the default Thunder Flop, the Raging Inferno Flop can only be used in the air. After activating the power-up, Murray will belly flop down and emanate a powerful wall of fire around himself upon hitting the ground.

In Sly 2 and 3, the move has to be assigned to a gadget button (either l1, l2 or r2). You will then have to press the assigned button in the air for it to work. The wall of fire will instantly kill any unlucky guards caught in its path. The wall of fire has exactly the same range as the default Thunder Flop. If Murray lands on the head of a guard with the Raging Inferno Flop, the effect will be the same as the Thunder Flop, only taking out the enemy, not burning it to cinder, but the wall of fire will still emit. Using this power-up drains one-fourth of the Gadget Meter.

In Thieves in Time, the Raging Inferno Flop is a permanent upgrade to the Thunder Flop. As such, the move is performed by pressing triangle while in the air. Here, it creates a fiery shockwave with greater range than the Thunder Flop, but it will not instantly kill all guards.
