Rail Walk
The Raccoon Rail Walk and Rail Slide are a set of moves that were perfected by "Tennessee Kid" Cooper.[1] He used it to escape while robbing stage coaches[2] and trains[3].
While the Rail Slide is only used by Sly and Tennessee, the Rail Walk is usable by both of them, in addition to Rioichi Cooper, Sir Galleth Cooper and Salim al-Kupar. Also, Sly (and by extension, his ancestors) moves more slowly while performing the Rail Walk compared to previous games in Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. Bob Cooper cannot use this move due to his large size.
Usage
To use the Rail Walk or Rail Slide, jump above a wire or rail that has a stealth aura above it and press 
. "Tennessee Kid" Cooper's section of the Cooper Vault is comprised of sliding on train rails in the shape of a Figure 8.[4]
Sly Cooper learns this move after defeating Muggshot in Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus.[5][6] In Sly 2: Band of Thieves, Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, the Rail Walk is used in the tutorials. An upgraded version of the Rail Walk, the Rail Sprint, is available to Sly in Thieves in Time after purchase from ThiefNet.[7] Sly's father, Conner Cooper, developed a variation of the Rail Slide called the laser slide, which Sly learns in the Cooper Vault.[4]
A few villains from the Sly Cooper series have also been seen using Rail Walk or Rail Slide. Constable Neyla was capable of using the Rail Walk. She possibly could not remain on a tightrope for long spans of time, as implied by the fact that she always ran when performing the move.[8][9] El Jefe is capable of performing the Rail Slide, as seen in his boss fight.[10] Cyrille Le Paradox was able to use both Rail Walk and Rail Slide, as seen during his boss fight.
