"Into the Machine" is a job in "Tide of Terror" of Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus.

Walkthrough

Upon entry, you will come across two furnace doors, shooting out flames that block your path. Use Sly's jump attack slam them shut. Keep in mind that they will only stay shut for a short time, therefore you should bypass them as soon as possible. Grab clue #1 when you close the furnace door, then enter the engine room filled with water. Leap onto the pump and grab clue #2 dangling from the small metal walkway. Cross the walkway and some more platforms, where you will encounter two more walruses. Take them both out as you advance to the next pump.

Sly performing another ledge sneak

You will approach a ledge, and like before, use circle to sneak around it. You will find a rope that will lead you up to the ledge above. Sneak around it to find clue #3, then proceed to the rotating shaft. You can grab clue #4, which is dangling from a nearby rope, followed by clue #5, which is positioned on a wheel next to a cog. Carefully cross the spinning cog to reach the grating. Bust down the grate to enter the ventilation shaft, where you will encounter a welding walrus. In front of you are three pairs of gratings, which act like springboards. Use these to help you grab the clues, as there is one on each grating (#6 – #11), and three suspended in the air between them (#12 – #14). Alternatively, you can get the clues on the gratings to drop to the ground below, but note that each pair of gratings are placed lower and lower going forward, meaning you cannot bounce back up to a higher one. It will also be important to note that the distance between each grating set is longer than your allowed jump height.

Sly climbing over electrical fans

Continuing on, bust through the grating or jump onto the nearby pair of half-translucent pipes before dropping down, and you will enter into a large room featuring a deadly hazard: several sets of big electrical fan blades slicing through the wooden walkway. Simply dodge the blades and take out the welding walrus at the end of the walkway. Ascend the rope to the upper walkway, where the signal repeater will be, along with a mallet walrus. After killing the walrus, prepare to shimmy along a pipe, as well as dodge some more electrical fans. You will then have to cling onto another pipe, shortly before swinging onto a hook to advance to a tube. You will then be passing through the tube, leading to another furnace room. This time, there are lasers placed in between each pair of gratings. Pay attention to the openings in the lasers to make a move at just the right time. Like before, you will be able to collect a total of nine clues here. Like before, on each of the six gratings is one clue (#15 – #20), and three more hang from the center (#21 – #23). Just as before, the gratings are placed lower and lower every time, plus they are higher up than you can jump, so you must collect all clues on one level before dropping down to the next. Also, clue #24 lies on another pair of half-translucent pipes placed right next to the gratings.

Once you drop to the ground floor, you will then proceed on into the boiler room. Before continuing, take out the walrus ahead of you and smash the siren. Break down the grate to enter the boiler room, where you will be encountered by more walrus guards. Take out the mallet walrus in front of you before jumping onto a spinning gear next to the rotating shaft. Clues #25 and #26 are found dangling from ropes next to the gear. Past the welding walrus, on top of a pipe near some molten lava rocks is clue #27. Ascend the pipe on the left side and approach the large spinning furnace. Take out the mallet walrus and smash open the small safe for clues #28 and #29. Upon approaching the furnace, Bentley will point out that it is spinning too fast, and that you must find an alternate route. Turn back and you will find the vault sitting just behind the giant wheel.

On the other side of the wheel is a piston you must leap on. Jump onto it and let it lift you up to a hook, then swing onto the mechanisms above to reach the very top platform. The final clue (#30) is found hanging down to your left. You then must jump down to the other side of the wheel to reach the vault. To crack the vault, dial in 2-2-7. After that, you must take the same route as you did to reach clue #30. To proceed, simply latch onto the hook above you, and it will carry you over to the furnace, stopping it in just the proper position to allow you to jump into another tube. This time, there will be furnace doors everywhere, and you must close them all before proceeding. You will then reach the final room, where you can retrieve the treasure key.
