"The Fire Down Below" is a job in "Tide of Terror" of Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus.

Walkthrough

Upon entering, make note of the vault right by the entrance here, opposite the furnaces. Before proceeding, on the left side, in a corner behind the entry point, you will find a clue bottle safe that contains clues #1 and #2. Clue #3 lies on top of the furnace, and clue #4 lies suspended in the air slightly in front of the second one. Remember to wait for the furnace doors to close before passing by them to avoid catching on fire. On the way to the hallway, you will find clue #5, which is also suspended in the air. You have to take out the guard before you collect the clue. Pass through the hall and close the furnaces, and collect clue #6 along the way.

Sly riding a hook over the lava

In the next room, you will encounter a welding walrus. Sitting on top of a high pipe is clue #7. Reach it by using the lower pipe nearby. On the left side of the room is some breakable black ore, with clues #8 and #9 behind it. After collecting those clues, take out the walrus to avoid being attacked while trying to proceed. In order to do so, you must use the hook mechanism above you to cross the lava-filled gap to the other platform. To get it moving, you must run on top of the small turbine until it moves fast enough to get you across. Wait until you are in range of a hook, then latch on and let it carry you over the gap.[note 1] Here, you will find a signal repeater, along with clue #10 (which is in between two pipes) and a mallet walrus. A climbable pipe wraps up and around the small furnace ahead. It will take you up to a small metal walkway, followed by a hook that will allow you get on top of the gearworks of the hook mechanism. On top of these gears are clues #11 – #14. The last one floats in mid-air, therefore you will have to jump off to grab it. You can also avoid having to rework your way back up to the gears, as you can attempt to leap back up to the gear works right above the spinning wheel.

Leap from the last gear to a metal walkway coming before another furnace-filled hall. Close every furnace and escape. On the other side, you will encounter two walruses; a mallet walrus and a welding walrus. After you take them out, it is time for you to grab the clues. Four clues sit on the pipes here (#15 – #18). The first two are on the above-ground pipe on the right, and the other two are on a narrower pipe that sits above the lava. It is recommended to activate the signal repeater, as it is quite easy to slip off of the narrow pipe. In the following area, you will find four more clues (#19 – #21) behind some more black ore. Clues #22 and #23 are found inside the safe here. Additionally, clue #24 is positioned next to some more black ore.

Finally, you will reach the end of the area. In order to proceed, you must break open the glass blocking the path to the conveyor belt. Run on top of the turbine to activate the belt, but beware of the moving spotlight above you. Activating the turbine will cause the conveyor belt to move the large lava rock towards the glass and break it. The belt leads to the treasure key, and you will find two clues on it (#25 and #26). With the belt stationary, you can run along it with ease, but steer clear of the searchlights here. In this final area, you will find the final four clues suspended in the air (#27 – #30). Just up ahead is the treasure key. Before you grab it, return to the entrance and open the vault. The combination is 5-7-9. Once that is done, follow all the procedures previously done and collect the treasure key.
