"Sinking Peril" is a job in "The Cold Heart of Hate" of Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus.

Walkthrough

After sliding down to the base of the sinking structure, immediately begin running along the cable and double jump over the electric force fields and over a couple of obstacles. Hook swing across the gap to reach the next platform, where part of the Clockwerk's death ray will fall down, allowing you to walk on it. Run up the cable, double jump over another forcefield, and destroy the gears that fall onto your path. Spire Jump onto a rotating gear point and then begin climbing on another cable. After a short metal walkway, dodge the electric forcefield, then continue up the wire.

Another platform will drop down to form a path to a conduit. Climb to the electric current, and wait for it to cease before you continue. Once you finish climbing, head to the next platform, which will be created by another fallen part of the death ray. Around the electric current are five rotating blades, each having two Spire Jump points. Quickly jump across each of them to reach the next conduit. Climb on the pipe to continue, but steer clear of another electric forcefield. Wait for it to deactivate, then reach the end of the pipe, where another death ray part will fall down to create a platform. Use the platform to reach four Spire Jump points. Electricity will sequentially strike each one. Wait for the right moment to make a move.

Once you reach the fallen platform at the end, make it to the final conduit quickly, as the platform will sink into the lava and fast. Climb the final conduit, dodging the three electric currents. Once you reach the top, the death ray will become dismantled, clearing a path for you to take the jetpack.

Note

  • In some versions of the game, if you use the mine move at the bottom of the death ray just before heading up, it will delay the sinking, giving you more time to climb it.
