Walkthrough:Theater Pickpocketing
"Theater Pickpocketing" was a job for Sly Cooper in "The Black Chateau" of Sly 2: Band of Thieves. This job introduces the concept of pickpocketing.
Objective
Pickpocket six keys from patrolling guards to shut off the fans.
Goals
- Pickpocket all the guards
- Use keys to shut down fans
- Climb fans and insert the splice chip into the spotlight guns.
Walkthrough
Once inside, take one step forward, and Bentley will give you a brief tutorial on how to pickpocket. Any guard with a key has a blue glow around their pockets, so use this to remember which guards still have keys. Note that the keys are sensitive, so if you take out a guard while he has a key still in his pocket, you will fail the mission. After you get the key from the guard, you can take him out if you wish to, which is recommended.
You will find the next two guards patrolling around on the bottom floor where the stage is. Climb down and steal their keys, while avoiding the spotlights, as the guards will be alerted if you set off the security.
The fourth guard is found in the backstage area, located high up on a metal platform. This is a simple pickpocket, as the guard remains stationary watching television and occasionally dozes off.
You will find the last two guards in the dressing rooms to the right of the backstage area. Take cover behind the clothes racks or underneath a table before making a move. Pickpocket the one patrolling the ground before pickpocketing the one patrolling up and down the stairs.
Bonus: As you reach the top of the stairs, turn around before heading for the control panel. You will see some dangling lights, which can be used as platforms to help you reach a small opening, where you can smash open two briefcases for extra coins.
Once you get to the control panel, press 
to unlock it. This will turn off the fans and allow you to get on top of the chandelier. Once you are on top of the chandelier, place the splice clip onto the controls. Once you do so, Bentley will finish off the job by destroying the power boxes.
